Cruise 2022 – Madeira

Thursday 6th January – Southampton

After dropping the pilot off on a boat somewhere in the Bristol Channel yesterday we continued our journey towards Southampton.

Not too much going on on board apart from an interesting illustrated historical talk about the 1920's, which was quite good, and various forms of musical entertainment in the various bars. But the performers were struggling to create an atmosphere with so few passengers. I think today's embarcation will change that, it sounds like it will be pretty full for the rest of the cruse with hopefully correspondingly more activities and entertainment.

The sunset as we rounded Land's End in the evening was quite spectacular.
