Summer at last! We arrived in Madeira at 7:30 this morning. The sun’s shining and its lovely and warm. Lot’s of people now sunbathing on the top deck. They have opened the roof above the swimming pool to let the sun in and the pool is very inviting.

Had a tour around the beautiful Palheiro gardens this morning followed by a visit to an orchid growing nursery.

And yes, nearly a big celebration last night, we came joint top with 12 out of 15. Lost it on the tie breaker though (how many elements in the periodic table?)
