Previous Cruise (January 2022 to Madeira)
The voyage back from Madeira was beautifully calm with nice sunny weather. A lot of dolphins performed for us on one occasion, all swimming back and forth under the ship. Couldn’t get a photo though. Others said five whales had been sighted on one day, one of them right alongside the ship. I missed that.
Some crew members are now emerging from their isolation. This includes the song and dance troop who gave their first performance of the trip last night.
I think a lot of the passengers who should have joined in Southampton accepted the cancellation offer. There were only 600 passengers on board which is about half capacity. About 450 have disembarked today so there are just 150 of us going back to Liverpool. Seems very quiet.

Here’s the quiz team. All except Gill on the left are booked on the cruise around S. America in Jan 2023, so we will be re-forming.

I’ve had a great time. Even with all the problems the service has been excellent. The group I was assigned to sit with as my social bubble were really good company and we have agreed to keep in touch. Basically, I’ve had a free two week cruise to Madeira. I can’t complain at that.
